Sid: There’s a war going on and most of you are familiar with it, but the war is over your children. Will they go the way of Harry Potter, will they go the way of the world, or will they go the way of the Lord. If they have not had their own experience with God, if they have not moved in the gifts of the Spirit the majority of them by the time that they’re a teenager will not only leave the church, they’ll never return. The good news is, it’s easier for children to move in the supernatural than adults; they don’t need any training to be a child, and Jesus said, “You must be like a child in order to enter the kingdom of heaven.” My guest Becky Fischer has been supernaturally equipped by God to motivate parents and then equip the parents to help their children move in the supernatural. Now Becky I am just blown away by how children move in all the gifts of the Spirit. Tell me about children moving in miracles and healing.
Becky: I’ll tell you the stories are endless Sid. I remember there’s a little girl that was in the first church where I was at and when she was two years old, her name was Ivy, and when she was two years old her grandfather had something go wrong with his eyes, he had to have an operation in both eyes. He was supposed to heal up within a week and be able to go back to work. Well there was something about it that his eyes were not forming any scar tissue, and six weeks later they still weren’t healed and he still wasn’t back at work. So one day he was over at Ivy’s house and her mom, Ivy’s mom was an intercessor from the day that Ivy was born. And having no place else to take Ivy she literally took the baby into the prayer closet with her, and she mentored her daughter in intercessory prayer. Well, this one day when grandpa was there Ivy was in her bedroom playing with her dolls, and grandpa and her mom were just visiting and all of a sudden grandpa decided it was time for him to go, he gets up and walks out the door. And Ivy comes out of her bedroom about that time and says “Where’s Grandpa? Mom says “Well, he had to do home, she goes no! I have to do something.” So Ivy goes tearing out the door, running down the sidewalk shouting, “Grandpa, Grandpa, stop I have to do something.” And he turned around and stopped, and little Ivy ran into his arms, he picked up, she took his glasses off of his face kissed each one of his eyeballs, put the glasses back on and said, Jesus; jumped down out of his arms and went back into the house. And one week later Grandpa’s eyes were totally healed and he was back at work again.
Sid: A there’s a little p.s. to that story about how she learned how she learned to ride a bicycle.
Becky: Oh yeah, Ivy she was hilarious, about six years old and it was time to take the training wheels off of her bike and she had gone outside, and her dad had been working on a car all daylong out in the yard. She was out there and she tried and tried and tried to learn how to ride that two wheeler bike. She had scratched herself up so bad by 6:00 at night she still had not been able to do it and she was absolutely exhausted. She went in and sat down at the dinner table, mom fed her a bowl of cereal and Lynette said that she was so tired that she was falling asleep at the table and little Cheerios would be dropping out of her mouth. And all of a sudden she sat up and she goes “Mom, Jesus just showed me how to ride my bicycle can I try again?” And her mom said, “Sure,” she jumps up, runs outside, hopes on that bike and I mean she was just riding to beat the band, she had no further problems after that. Somehow God must have given her a little vision while she was dozing off there and she just perfectly knew how to ride her bike.
Sid: Tell me about the children that were responsible for freeing 100,000 slaves in the Sudan.
Becky: Well, that’s an interesting story; now it wasn’t with Christian children, but it just gives you an example of how capable children are of doing great and mighty things when someone just believes in them, and gives them a platform and freedom to do it. The long story short is this fourth grade class at school the teacher told them that there was still slaves being bought and sold in the nation of Sudan for as little as $50 a piece. And the children were so distraught to think that slave trading was still going on that they began to just go to bat over the whole thing, and they began to do bake sales and car washes and everything they could, but their goal was to raise as much money as possible so that they could buy some of those slaves and then turn around and give them their freedom. Because there was a ministry over in Sudan that was doing that very thing for people and they said they just need the money to buy these people. And so they were doing it, they wrote to the President, they wrote to Oprah Winfrey, they wrote to everybody you could think of in order to get them to try to put pressure on the Sudan government which they finally did. And as a result of that the government the United States government put what was called the Sudan Peace Act, which basically put pressure on them that we’re going to pull your finances and your benefits that we’re giving you unless you stop this slave trading, at least for a season. We know that that’s still going on and that it hasn’t completely corrected itself. But those children by the time it was all said and done, with just the money that they had raised, they were able to set 100,000 slaves free over in the Sudan. And so I mean that’s a remarkable story of just what children are capable of doing, imagine if those had been children who had been trained in intercessory prayer, or if they knew how to operate in the gifts of the Spirit.
Sid: Speaking of that, tell me about a service perhaps you’ve had where children pray for physical healing for adults or prophesy over them.
Becky: You know one of the first times that a kid ever operated in a word of knowledge in my children’s ministry I was not expecting it because I myself had never had what you hear. You know you get these ministers up and they will say “I feel like someone’s got a pain in the back of the neck.” Well, what is happening to them is what is commonly known as a phantom pain. The Holy Spirit just sort of points something out in their own body physically and then it gives them the understanding that there is somebody in the audience that has that. Well, I was teaching one Sunday morning in church and right in the middle of my sermon and I was so anointed that day, I was just preaching to these kids and Elijah who had been about ten years old at the time raised his hand I just ignored him because I didn’t want to stop my sermon. And he raised it again and he would not put it down and he finally started shaking his hand in the air and after about ten minutes I finally said, “Elijah what do you need?” And he goes I got a back ache and I said, “Oh, you want me to pray for your back?” “Yeah!” and I was just ready to say, “Can you wait for the service when in my lightning fast mind, I had this thought. I said, “Elijah when did that pain start occurring, did you have it when you walked in this morning or did it start while I was preaching? He said, “It started when you were preaching.” And I go, “Okay, I think God is using you,” and I said, “Is there anybody else in this room this morning that has a back pain?” Eight kids raised their hand that right at that moment seven of them had pain in their back. So and the other one had a continuing back problems, but didn’t have pain at that moment. We called them forward, I had Elijah come up and almost mechanically I just taught him how to lay his hands on each one of them and pray and I really actually led him in the prayers because he wasn’t trained at that time, and led him in the prayer for healing for each of those kids. And all seven of them that came forward with pain were healed that day and the other one was convinced that she was healed although she didn’t come with that pain at that time.
Sid: Tell me about one more physical healing.
Becky: Okay, there are a number of them. One of them I think of right off hand was over in Africa again in a school for very, very poor children. The head master is a born again Spirit filled Christian and I’ve been there to teach several times, and they have faithfully been teaching their children to pray. In fact the kids will beg for all night prayer meetings, they have taught them how to hear the voice of God, how to prophesy, and all the rest. And so one particular day they were sitting at the dinner table, and one of the little girls they noticed was not drinking her milk like the other children and they asked her why? And she said, “Well, because I’m allergic.” Apparently she was lactose intolerant and she said, “I break out in big boils as soon as I start taking anything with milk in it. And we said, “That’s no problem we’ll just pray for you.” So they all reached over, laid hands on her and said, “Okay now drink your milk.” There was no adult around supervising this at all. So she did she drank her milk and she was totally fine, she never had the problem since then. She went home from school and was sitting down at the dinner table and her parents said, “She started to reach for the milk and parent said, “No, no you can’t have milk you’ll get sick” and she goes “No I won’t I’m healed. “Nobody told us you were healed and she finally convinced them that she was healed and took the milk. And sure enough they went back and said to the Head Master, “What happened here, nobody told us.” He said, “I didn’t know it until you told me right now, they must have done this on their own.” So when children are trained and know what to do they are amazing.
Sid: What about using children in deliverance.
Becky: Oh, same school, this is one of the wildest stories. This Head Master brings these children in and basically for free, he will…, very very poor parents people who are literally living in mud huts will ask him to take their kids in because he’s giving them a Christian English speaking education and the parents will pay a bag of coal once a year, or a bag of corn two or three times a year for the children’s tuition. So he raises money over here in the west but the point is he’s got about 400 kids there. One day one of the mothers in the community came to him and she asked him, begged him if he would please take her son in who was only about nine or ten years old, and let him come to his school because he had literally been kicked out of three other schools for being completely out of control. There were no teachers that could control him and make him behave and she talked Glorious into it he finally says, “Sure, let him come.” And so the child came to the school and he turned into this little monster and he would beat up on kids, he would punch them.
Sid: Oh, I hate to say this we’re out of time Becky.
